About this workshop

This workshop is designed to help participants understand the complete process of jewelry design modeling using Rhino 8, including fundamental production techniques that provide the knowledge and confidence to start a first jewelry project.

The workshop focuses on the Rhino3D workflow for jewelry design, guiding students through the creation of jewelry pieces while learning the key commands and practical techniques for design and production. Participants will develop a solid foundation in digital jewelry modeling through real-world examples and industry-relevant projects.

Drawing on over 10 years of teaching experience, this workshop presents an efficient, practical learning approach that helps students quickly grasp core concepts and apply them to their jewelry design projects.

What you will learn

  • 01

Rhino 8 workflow for jewelry design

  • 02

Creating curves, surfaces, and solid jewelry models

  • 03

    Modeling pendants, earrings, and rings

  • 04

Understanding ring sizing and stone settings

  • 05

Preparing jewelry models for production and 3D printing

  • 06

Applying practical jewelry design and production techniques

Methodology

This workshop focuses on some of the most common jewelry types on the market, including pendants, earrings, wedding bands, solitaire rings, halo rings, and floral-inspired designs.

Participants will learn how to build jewelry models using Rhino 8 native commands, starting with simple lines and freeform curves and gradually transforming them into surfaces and solid models.

The workshop combines Rhino modeling techniques with practical jewelry design knowledge, helping students understand both the creative and production aspects of the design process.

The workshop follows a step-by-step, project-based learning approach. Students will model jewelry pieces alongside the instructor through guided demonstrations and practical exercises.

Each participant will work individually using their own computer with Rhino 8 installed. Throughout the workshop, students will create multiple jewelry projects while learning essential Rhino workflows and jewelry production techniques.
