The Cyber Villa: Mastering Maya Essentials workshop aims to provide participants with a basic knowledge of polygon modelling techniques inside Autodesk Maya. This workshop will cover a range of simple modelling and geometry manipulation techniques, focusing on designing fluid architectural forms. By the end of the workshop, participants will have a comprehensive understanding of Maya as a design tool. They can apply their knowledge to create a spatial Low Poly model of The Cyber Villa.
The workshop's main aim is to introduce participants to a range of simple polygon mesh modelling techniques using Autodesk Maya to design fluid architectural forms. The course will give participants a comprehensive understanding of Maya as a design tool. and will include an introduction to setting up the programme environment, demonstrating simple modelling and geometry manipulation techniques, and performing a simple design task.

Students will be introduced to a range of polygon modelling techniques inside Autodesk Maya. They will work individually on futuristic Cyber Villa Design as final design task for the workshop.
The workshop aims to provide participants with a basic knowledge of how to set up a working environment, optimise and arrange the necessary tools of the softwear and provide practical skills for designing effective geometries. As a design task, we will create a simple topology as an architectural form that is commonly used in a wide range of practices.
Course Content
This workshop Cyber Villa: Mastering Maya Essentials was a solid intro to 3D design with Autodesk Maya — especially if you’re new to polygon‑modelling. The session covers Maya basics (interface, environment setup), teaches you how to build and manipulate simple polygon meshes, and guides you to create a low‑poly architectural‑style model (the “Cyber Villa”).  It’s short and beginner‑friendly (about five hours), yet after finishing I felt comfortable navigating Maya and ready to experiment with fluid architectural forms.
