Can there be a dialogue between designers and AI where their intelligence comes together? This workshop focuses on the collaboration between designers and AI. "Artificial Intelligence: Parametric Negotiation" workshop explores how minimal interventions from the designer can transform AI into a creative companion. The goal is to find a ground where designers maintain some control while allowing AI to suggest options that might not have been considered. In the workshop, we will neither fully control AI nor blindly accept what it generates. Instead, we will create a shared human-AI latent space where both contribute to the design process.

Designing patterns with minimal intervention that AI understands and then enhances through its interpretation.
Critically thinking about how much AI influence we want in our designs.
Creating a negotiable space between parametric designs and the AI tool.
Learning the design language and workflow that AI understands, and identifying where AI’s limitations arise.
Understanding how small changes in the workflow can drastically alter the output.
Imagining designs that were not intended while creating designs in digital modeling space.
Developing an iterative design process where the entire design doesn't need to be fully modeled.

Content

The “AI & Parametric Negotiation” workshop by PAACADEMY will start on Saturday, 12th October, at 14:00 (GMT).
Total sessions: one session
The teaching duration per session will be 5 hours.
Students will have time for a break between teaching hours.
Each session and the entire studio will be recorded, and videos will be available for participants just a day after the class for unlimited time.
Software Installation is NOT a part of the workshop. Participants must have all the software installed before starting the workshop.
If you cannot install ComfyUI locally, participants can use RunComfy, a platform focused on the Stable Diffusion model. It charges based on server rental time and the number of models used (it supports ControlNet).
PAACADEMY will provide a certificate of attendance.

Biography
Kedar Undale is an Architect, Computational, and AI Designer at Kedar Undale Design Studio. He specializes in consulting, education, and creating art through parametric design. He holds a master’s degree from IaaC, Barcelona, and has worked as a computational designer with Toronto-based Partisans.Kedar assists architects and designers in realizing complex, form-driven designs and translating concepts into executable solutions. Over the past five years, he has taught global workshops on ‘Parametric Thinking’ at institutions like DigitalFUTURES, InterAccess Canada, PowrPlnt New York, and CEPT India. His art, featured in Homegrown Magazine India, leverages computational tools to visualize intangibles like sound, wind, and gravity.
