Sarah Aladayleh is an Architect and Design Lead at Bjarke Ingels Group (BIG). Working across architecture, urban design, and visual storytelling, her practice bridges strategic spatial design with expressive graphic representation. At BIG, Sarah works on complex, multi-scalar proposals where translating large-scale masterplans into clear, compelling narratives is central to the design process. Alongside her architectural work, she leads creative workshops exploring the intersection of traditional representation, digital tools, and emerging AI technologies. Through her teaching, Sarah helps designers break down intricate design thinking into intuitive visual stories that resonate with clients, juries, and communities alike.

From AI Images to AI-Operated Architecture

This workshop marks an important shift in how architects can work with AI. Rather than using AI only to generate concepts or images, Fredy demonstrates how agentic models can begin operating directly inside Rhino and Revit through MCP, translating spatial briefs into rules, geometry, model audits, parameters, and schedules. What I found most valuable was the emphasis on context engineering, verification, and the principle of “read and plan first, write second.” The architect remains responsible for intent, judgment, and validation, while the AI takes on repeatable operational tasks. For my AutoTroph research, this opens an exciting direction: moving from generative form-making toward architectural systems that can interpret rules, act, check themselves, and adapt under human supervision.
