Leo Bieling is a principal of the London-based practice blng studio. He holds an MSc in Architecture and an MArch from the Architectural Association Design Research Lab, where he specialized in computational design and parametric workflows. At Zaha Hadid Architects, Leo led computational workflows, parametric design strategies, and façade studies across international cultural and commercial projects. He was part of the Computation and Design Research Group at ZHA. As an educator and researcher, Leo has taught and lectured at the AA DRL, UCL Bartlett, ETH Zurich, Tsinghua University, CEDIM and PAACADEMY, exploring the intersection of computational thinking and architectural practice. His published research in parametric geometry and spatial design systems has been presented at Design Modelling Symposium Berlin and exhibited at major international venues including the Zaha Hadid Gallery and MUAC Mexico City. Leo is RIBA and ARB registered, fluent in English and German, and brings both theoretical depth and practical studio experience to computational and generative design methodologies.
