PAACADEMY provides specialized online courses for Gravity Sketch, teaching designers how to break free from 2D screens and sculpt complex 3D forms natively in Virtual Reality (VR).
Gravity Sketch is a VR-native 3D modeling application that allows designers to create three-dimensional objects by drawing and sculpting directly in virtual reality space. Unlike screen-based modeling tools where 3D form is manipulated through a 2D interface with a mouse, Gravity Sketch gives designers a true spatial experience of the objects they are creating: they stand inside the design, reach out to draw curves, and mold surfaces with physical hand movements.
At PAACADEMY, Gravity Sketch is taught in Sculpture Synergy in VR by Christian Venables, blending immersive sculpting with AI texturing:
- Spatial Sculpting: Designing forms at a true 1:1 scale, gaining an immediate understanding of architectural proportion and massing.
- Fluid Concept Modeling: Rapidly sketching 3D curves and extruding surfaces much faster than traditional CAD software allows in early design stages.
- Multi-Platform Texturing: Exporting VR-sculpted assets into tools like Substance Painter and Krea AI to apply realistic materials to the geometry.
