Course detail
Vertical Sinuosity is a course on PAACADEMY that teaches polygon mesh modeling in Autodesk Maya for designing complex, organic architectural geometries. Participants work from simple polygon primitives through a range of mesh modeling operations to develop spatial forms suited for social and leisure environments, then integrate Chaos Enscape to visualize and experience those designs in an immersive real-time environment. Grasshopper 3D is also used as part of the workflow.

The main objective of this workshop is to equip participants with various techniques of polygon mesh modeling utilizing Autodesk Maya for designing complex geometries and architectural forms. The processes covered in these sessions will explore various mesh modeling operations that can be applied to a simple polygon primitive to achieve desired spatial characteristics in creating social and leisure experiences.
Polygon Mesh Modeling Techniques: Gain hands-on experience in various techniques for creating complex geometries using Autodesk Maya.
Spatial Design Characteristics: Learn how to manipulate simple polygon primitives to achieve specific spatial qualities that enhance social and leisure experiences.
Creative Expression: Explore the freedom of using Maya to design aesthetic organic forms and push the boundaries of your creative potential.
Virtual Architectural Design: Understand how to design architectural projects in a virtual environment, addressing real-world constraints and conditions.
