Can ChatGPT generate architectural designs directly?

No it supports research, scripting and ideation, not direct 3D output.

Is prior AI experience required?

No, these courses are built for architects with no AI background.

How is ChatGPT used in architectural practice and education?

ChatGPT is used in architecture for analyzing competition briefs, generating design research, developing design strategies and writing architectural narratives and project descriptions. At PAACADEMY, it is taught in over 15 courses including AI for Architectural Competitions , where it supports brief analysis, ideation and competition narrative writing alongside image generation tools like Midjourney and Nano Banana.

What does PAACADEMY's competition course teach about using ChatGPT?

AI for Architectural Competitions: From Brief to Submission by Mohamed Fendi teaches three applications for ChatGPT: analyzing competition briefs to extract constraints, priorities and design opportunities; using it for design research and ideation before visual output begins; and developing architectural narratives and written directions for the competition submission. The course runs 6 hours at the beginner level.

Is ChatGPT suitable for image generation in architectural visualization?

No. ChatGPT is a text-based language model and does not generate images. In architectural AI workflows, it is used as a reasoning and writing tool: brief analysis, research, strategy development and narrative writing. For image generation, PAACADEMY courses use Midjourney, Stable Diffusion, ComfyUI and other visual AI tools alongside ChatGPT in integrated multi-tool workflows.
