Why social media?
Internet and social media have now become one of the most influential tools that had revolutionized marketing strategies in all professions. Starting with websites from the early 90s, social media platforms like Facebook in 2004, and the birth of other platforms, the old notions of getting published or running ads in printed magazines to get exposure are almost dead. With the rise of fan pages, influencers, communities, chat groups, and new marketing strategies, many new professions emerged that did not exist before. This resulted in the establishment of new departments in companies to manage their websites and social media channels. And by now (2023) almost everyone has understood the power of social media and how it can have a huge impact on anyone’s or any company’s growth.
Why architects and designers should use social media?
Like all professions, architects are not exceptional in this. Internet and social media have changed the way architects and designers think about their projects. As much as we think this is wrong, getting more exposure on social media became a quality standard for offices and clients on a success of a project. By using social media, architects and designers were able to showcase their work, build their own brands, network with peers, engage with potential clients, and keep up with industry trends. Using the right strategy will result in increasing visibility, establishing credibility, building relationships, showcasing the brand, and staying up-to-date.
