Chhavi Mehta, an architect and educator, is becoming a prominent voice in AI-assisted design and fluid architectural modeling. Chhavi earned her Master’s degree in Architecture and Urbanism from the AADRL at the Architectural Association, where she participated in the Cyber-Urban Incubator under the guidance of Patrik Schumacher. With more than six years of professional experience, contributing to Zaha Hadid Architects, she worked on global projects spanning architecture, interior design, product development, and the metaverse.

She focuses on using programs like Autodesk Maya, Midjourney, Unreal Engine, and Runway ML to produce atmospheric, immersive architectural images. Her work focuses on narrative-driven visualization, experimental building, and sculpture design ideation. 

She has developed a dynamic portfolio that includes her 3D modeling methods, renderings driven by AI, and animated scenes that evoke the sensation of dreamy cinema. These are whole architectural narratives, not just digital experiments.

Symbiotic Workflow

A weekend workshop Symbiotic Design: AI-Driven Fluid Modeling in Maya, is being organized by PAACADEMY on 5-6 July, 2025. Architects and students will have hands-on experience combining AI and manual 3D modeling for architectural form exploration and animation through this AI and 3D design class.

Learning both basic and advanced modeling techniques, participants will begin by modeling fluid architectural typologies in Autodesk Maya. They will create visually appealing representations and modifications of their models using Midjourney AI for brainstorming. Using these AI-enhanced designs in Runway ML, where students will create cinematic architectural animations with mood, movement, and story, in the last stage.

This all-encompassing process, from concept to model to motion, is a prime example of how AI is revolutionizing architectural design processes, making them quicker, more creative, and more emotionally compelling. A personal short film displaying their design using this potent hybrid approach will be given to each participant as they leave the session.
